Artist Statement
« …le tableau dans sa stature d’être est énigmatique, car il cache dans son visible, l’invisible qui est en nous ».

I qualify my artistic work as symbolic, dreamlike, instinctive and visceral.
Paper is my favorite medium for painting, engraving, bas-relief, collage, monotype and drawing techniques.
From an intention, an initial gesture, I proceed
in successive layers and alternating various processes.
Over the years, inspired by nature, symbols such as nests, alcoves, barks, caves, refuges and invented landscapes have taken a significant place in my pictures and the result is often organic.
For some years now, I have been working on the theme: Experiences, spaces and places. A research in which I make myself available to my visual perceptions. I experience, discover and explore evocative, emerging, subtle, cosmic images.
The process of artistic creation as a metaphor for life, prompts me to create spaces from the infinitely small to the infinitely large in intimate places of refuge, escape and dream.
The act of creating thus becomes the expression of an intrinsic need to communicate and to make visible, the unspeakable. This language establishes a link between the unique and universal human being that I am, that we are.
